The school council is a group of children who represent their peers and bring forward their views to improve learning and the environment at our school. The children have been voted into their positions by their peers.
They hold a weight of responsibility in this post, tasked with representing the views of their peer group, reporting back to them on issues that the council is currently concerned with and working well with other children of all ages from across our community.
At the moment, among other things, the children are looking at which charities we should support across the year.
Four children from Year 6, attend Junior Youth Voice meetings at Mole Valley Council Chambers in Dorking. These meetings take place every half term and the children meet with other children from local schools to discuss topics relating to our local community.
