• World Book Day

  The Weald School was awash with colour and fun yesterday with all the children and staff dressed up for World Book Day. Thank you parents and carers for throwing yourself into the spirit of it and sending your children into school in their imaginative and impressive costumes. Here are just a few of the children in their outfits.

  

• Sponsored Bedtime Stories with Mrs Mansfield

  Come along to the school hall on the 7th of March to hear Mrs Mansfield read as many bedtime stories in 20 minutes, to raise money for the school library. You can donate on the day, or visit https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/the-weald-library to donate using Just Giving.

  Also, tune in to BBC Radio Surrey at 8.50am on Thursday to hear Mrs Mansfield and some of the children talking about World Book Day, their costumes, and the Sponsored Bedtime Stories!

   

  

• Sing!

  Our Sing! club on a Monday lunchtime is sounding absolutely wonderful. Mrs Mee who comes in to run the club leads with enthusiasm and the children are having a wonderful time. If you would like your child to join Sing! club, you can sign them up using the Parents Evening booking system. Or they can simply turn up one Monday to see if they like it.

• Production Bugs Christmas Show

  Well done to all the children who performed on Saturday 8th December at St Martin’s Church in Dorking for the Production Bugs Christmas Show. The performance was so polished and exciting and the children represented the school beautifully. Thank you Janine and all the staff and helpers from Production Bugs for all that you do for the Weald children. We are so grateful.

  Well done to George, Imogen and Miles who received certificates in assembly for the most improved attendance. Imogen and George even received certificates for 100% attendance which is so much better than last term. Well done all of you!
