  • Year 5 Wind in the Willows

Mon 23 Apr 2018 Debs Mansfield
Here is the wonderful display in Year 5 which has been inspiring the children to get really stuck in to their Raging Rivers topic this term. They are also reading The Wind in the Willows and I'm sure you'll agree the display really gets into the spirit of the book. Ask your Year 5 children what they have learned about rivers so far!
  • Reception Makeover

Fri 20 Apr 2018 Debs Mansfield

Mr Brown and Mr Livingston have been busy over Easter making some wonderful new resources for Reception St Paul. The children have been enjoying the sunshine, playing in the new sand box and stony beach, as well as a multi-use vehicle. This week the vehicle has mostly been a bullet train to tie in with their learning about Japan.

Mr Brown also built this fabulous Yellow Submarine reading corner for Year 1.

Thank you Mr Brown and Mr Livingston for all your hard work!

If you have any old bits of decking lying around we would find them very useful for building things just like these. The wood is pressure treated and doesn’t have splinters—perfect for outdoor building. If you can donate scraps from leftover projects, please pop into the school office.

  • Our Amazing Spaces

Fri 20 Apr 2018 Debs Mansfield

We wanted to show you some of the lovely spaces around our school which have been made possible because of the donations you make to FOTW. These spaces are available to be used by all the children for quiet reflection, relaxation and time away from the bustle of the playground, and are also used for interventions and 1:1s.

Thu 19 Apr 2018 Debs Mansfield
FOTW will hold another summer uniform sale after school today. They will also be accepting donations of old good-condition uniform to sell. Get prepared and stock up for all the lovely weather we'll be having at a fraction of the cost!
  • School Photos

Wed 18 Apr 2018 Debs Mansfield

Our school photographer is coming on Monday to photograph the classes. As in previous years, we would ask that the children wear the following uniform as it looks lovely in the photographs.

KS1 polo shirts for all the children. We kindly ask that girls don't wear summer dresses today please.

KS2 shirts and ties for all students please. We kindly ask that children don't wear polo shirts or summer dresses today please.

The weather next week is set to be significantly cooler than this week so the children shouldn't be too uncomfortably warm.

Tue 17 Apr 2018 Debs Mansfield

The Friends of the Weald will be holding a Children's Table Top Sale on Saturday 5th May from 11.00am- 1.00pm. Tables cost £15 and there will be a £1 entry fee for shoppers. More information about how to book will be available soon. See you there!

  • Movie Night

Tue 17 Apr 2018 Debs Mansfield

The school movie night organised by The Friends of the Weald and supported by the teachers will be held on Friday 27th April 3.30pm - 5.30pm. The film shown will be SING which is suitable for all children as it carries a U Rating

Ticket price is £3.50 per child. There will be water available to all and included in the ticket price is a slice of pizza and popcorn!

After school has finished children that have purchased a movie ticket will be brought to the main hall by their teacher or a member of the FOTW team, this is so that they can be checked in before the movie starts at 3.30pm. Please don’t forget to give your child their movie ticket!

You will be able to collect your child from the main hall after the film has finished around 5.30pm. We are hoping to be able to offer refreshments for parents/carers in the dining hall after 5pm

An attendance slip should be completed for each child and these should be returned to the FOTW post box in the school office, together with the entrance fee of £3.50 per child, ideally by Monday 22nd April. This is so that we can make sure we have time to process your ticket request.

We're looking forward to a great evening with your children!
