All of the children on the Year 4 Residential Trip are happy and healthy. The enjoyed a very full day yesterday despite the weather. Some of the things they have done so far include the high rope course, swimming, a challenge exercise in teams, team games, logic problems, foraging for food, fire lighting and an obstacle course!
When the children first arrived they had to make their own beds. A small number of children were a little homesick at bed time but they worked through it and all slept happily and well.
The meals have been wonderful, and parents who were concerned about their fussy eaters need not worry. The Woodrow High House staff have accommodated them beautifully. Everyone has eaten well.
The overwhelming themes that have come across are that of working together and looking after each other. Children have been thinking carefully about getting drinks for their whole table rather than helping themselves and it's lovely to see them being thoughtful and caring.
